It's a law of physics that matter can be neither created nor destroyed. If we believe that, how come all the Volkswagen Quantums seem to have disappeared? At 1000 kg apiece, that's a lot of matter. If all of it were being converted to energy, that would be about 2300 Megawatt hours. Of course, that assumes that Quantums were fissionable, which isn't likely. Well, search no more, I've found the missing VWs. They've all been taken to mainland China and put into service as taxis. Every third car you see in Shanghai and Xi'an is a Quantum. So in an odd way, Ross Perot was right, but about the wrong thing: that hissing sound you hear is all the Quantums being sucked out of the US.
